A Blogmas At Home Hiatus

Hi, everybody!

Today’s post is a little different, but I wanted to give you all an update (also, full disclaimer: this post is nowhere near as serious as I’m making it sound! I feel like I’m writing a horrible announcement (I suppose, because it feels that way to me!), but in reality, it’s just a break from sharing my festive ideas: not the end of the world by any means!).

I’m going to be taking a break from my daily Blogmas posts for a little while. I’m so disappointed about this because I had SO many fun & exciting posts lined up to release in the second half of Advent, but the winter colds have really hit me hard this year (I’m currently on my sixth one of the season…) and, with my already less-than-ideal health, it just isn’t feasible for me health/energy-wise right now.

Please know this decision was really hard to make (I just LOVE sharing the magic of the festive season with all of you!) and, while it makes me a little… uncomfortable… to leave this year’s Blogmas At Home incomplete, I have to look after myself (or, at least, I’m learning to!), especially when my body/general health is already on the more feeble side. It’s also important to me that I save some energy for my own festive plans with my family: that is, after all, what Christmas is all about (though the cookies and the pigs in blankets are right up there for me, too!).

With all that being said, I do hope you’ve enjoyed the first 13 days of Blogmas At Home 2025: I’m so proud of all of the posts I’ve shared and I hope they’ve bought you bit of festive joy this year (because, let’s face it, we could all do with a bit of extra festive joy this year). If/when (hopefully, when) I start feeling better, I’ll try to share some of the posts that I had planned to share, even if it’s not a daily occurrence. Either way, I’ll spend some time getting myself better, spending lots of festive time with my family and dreaming up fun ideas for 2026!

I hope you have a magical rest of Advent and an even more magical Christmas,

Gemma
